Understanding the mercy of God is not something I have mastered, and I don't think I ever will.
Having a roof over my head is because of God's mercy.
Having breath in my body is because of God's mercy.
Being in my right mind is because of God's mercy.
Having an amazing support system is because of God's mercy.
Not getting what I thought I wanted, is because of God's mercy.
Not getting what I deserve, is because of God's mercy.
Though I fall short day after day, God continues to show me His mercy.
God is the only one who truly knows me inside and out.
He knows my every thought, action, sin, and He still gives me His mercy.
I never want to get to a place where I become complacent, and stop striving to pour my praises out to God.
I never what to get to a place where I stop thanking God for sacrificing His only Son for a wretch like me.
God has never required perfection from us, and I have to remind myself of that daily. Believing that I could ever be perfect, gives me a false sense of pride and strength, because He is the only one that could ever be perfect.
I need to strive to be more like Jesus.
I need to ask God daily to renew my heart and mind.
I need to ask God to remove anything that is not pleasing in His sight.
I must work daily to die to myself
I must work daily to allow God's presence to overtake my earthly body.
I must remember that only the work that I do for Him, will last.
Oh, how powerful is His blood.
